Lätt Children’s Table Review

Transitioning to a Montessori style parenting method has brought a lot of new purchases into Clarke’s room. First thing on our list was a work station. We ended up buying the Ikea Lätt Children’s table and gave it to our ultimate product tester.

Why:

This table has a ton of hacks on Pinterest. Since I planned on paining a redoing what ever I purchased, starting with almost a clean slate seemed best.

Set Up:

Simple. The box comes with everything you may need including the little wrench. Even with Clarke stealing my tool, set up of both table and chairs took maybe thirty minutes.

Quality:

Meh. It’s Ikea furniture. The bolts walk themselves out after about a week. Some of the parts don’t fit together perfect. The unfinished wood needs a coat of paint. I also recommend buying wood glue to make sure everything stays put.

Size:

Being 3 foot tall, Clarke still has a few inches before his feet will touch the ground while sitting in the chairs. I would say it’s made for children under 3 years old.

Verdict:

For the price of $24.99, you can’t beat it. Plus they didn’t crumble under my weight when I tested them out. I would definitely recommend this as a transition item that you know you’re going to get rid of.
