Tiny House Hunters - Where are they now?
Well...a year later and we're still in the RV. Very few people that end up on HGTV can really say that they are still doing what they said they were. Life happens and sometimes you just have to roll with the punches.
To say that we love every minute of living in the RV would be a complete and utter lie. With only 400 square feet, the walls can close in on you rather quickly. We have to find excuses to leave the house. Now that Clarke is getting old, it's easier to find places that he enjoys. Thank God for the children's museum! However, when he was a little thing, I would go to the mall almost every day just to be able to stretch my legs.
Having to check the tanks before using any source of water is also a major turn off to the Tiny Living lifestyle. If you're a full timer with full hook ups, I legitimately hate you. We never had an issue with this before Clarke came but that's because I was young and dumb. Kids require so much water! You wouldn't think someone half your size got so dirty but they manage to find a way!
Piggy backing on dirty kids, LAUNDRY! I've been the broke college student that spends an entire day at the laundromat just so you don't have to head back to your mom's house to do laundry. It's a completely different ball park when you have a kid in toe. I can not wait for the day that I have an in house washer and dryer again! Maybe in our next unit...
Okay, enough for my bitching. Honestly, we would do this all again in a heart beat. It's given us so many freedoms that we never had in a house. It has also taught us what truly is important in life. Y'all, stop collecting material possessions and go start living!
We are finally getting around to remodeling our RV. Who knew that you couldn't paint when its literally freezing outside? We have our colors picked and are only waiting for Clarke to go to daycare so that we can get things started.
Make sure you subscribe to keep up with our latest adventures. With Jake's emancipation day coming quicker than we expected, we have so much in the works! Life is full adventure, go and find it.
